Enjoy silence, great room acoustics and privacy after our services.Did you know?
Noise Pollution is illegal and punishable by law in Uganda.
The good news is that Mellow city is here to soundproof your space till it is in dead silence, whether it is a church, sitting room, studio, bar, event hall, school hall, etc, our expert soundproofing team is available.

Most of the spaces like offices, halls, studios, etc, require soundproofing seriously. However, when it comes to churches, the biggest trouble is a combination of echos, reverb and too much bass response. This makes makes it difficult for the people especially at the back of the room to get the communications from the stage or pulpit clearly because of too much echo disturbance. What is Soundproofing?
Soundproofing is the act of blocking external sounds from entering your room or blocking sounds in your room from going outside it.

There are several materials you can use to soundproof your room, depending on the extent of noise you need to block, the type of ceiling you have, the kind of floor you have, the size of the room, the quality of doors you have, and many other attributes. Some materials can block all the sound if used correctly while some can only block a percentage of the sound even if used correctly.
The Most effective way of soundproofing is to build double walls. The wall do two things: Absorption and reflection. The first wall is the one that your engineers built with concrete and the second one is built by soundproofing engineers using soundproofing materials.
Examples of Soundproofing Materials
- Fiberglass
- Silicon Sealant
- Condenser Cloth
- Mass load Vinyl
- Proofing Rubber
- Green Glue
- Rock Wool
- Acoustic Foams
- Laminated Glass
- Proofing Spray

acoustic treatment
Acoustic treatment, also known as room acoustics is refers to the treatment given to a room in order to reduce echo, reverberation and bass feedback. Every big hall, church, auditorium, or any big size room is bothered by too much echo disturbance. The good news is that it is possible to remove echo, reverberation and standing waves from any room, completely with the use of acoustic panels, acoustic foam profile, and bass traps as seen in the room below.

Base traps
These are a type of acoustic treatment designed to absorb low-frequency sound energy, typically in the range of 30-100Hz. they are used to control and reduce the buildup of low end frequencies in a room, which can cause resonance, standing waves and unbalanced sound.
Bass traps work by using a combination of materials with high mass and damping , such as thick layers of fiberglass, mineral wool, or open-cell foam, to absorb the energy of low-frequency sound waves. They are placed in strategic locations , such as corners or walls.
The images below show corner bass traps being installed by our sound engineers.
